Beirut - Syrian opposition activists say that the death toll in a bombing near a rebel-held border crossing with Turkey has risen to 43 people killed.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says Syrians who were wounded in the blast and were taken to hospitals in Turkey and later died are among the 43 killed in Thursday's blast.
The Observatory relies on a network of activists on the ground.
Its director Rami Abdurrahman says more than 80 people were wounded in the car bombing.
