Alina Kovalchuk, who suffers from cancer of the lymph nodes, was joined by two other activists from the women's rights organisation Femen to stage a protest against the absence of a state program to cure cancer and the lack of financing of Ukrainian oncological centres in front of the Ministry of Health headquarters in Kiev, Ukraine.
Alina demanded an increase in financing of oncological programmes for those sick with cancer as a result of consequences of Chernobyl catastrophe and end to what they claim is embezzling of state property by the medical officials.
