San Juan, Puerto Rico - Authorities in Puerto Rico say they have confiscated more than $29 million worth of cocaine aboard a boat intercepted east of the U.S. territory.
The U.S. Coast Guard said Friday that it had seized more than 2 600 pounds (1 179 kilograms) of cocaine and arrested two men from the Dominican Republic.
U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez said the drugs were being transferred from a go-fast boat intercepted near St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands on Sunday. She said the boat had departed South America and was headed to Puerto Rico. - Sapa-AP
