Moscow - The death toll from floods caused by heavy rains in Russia's southern Krasnodarsky Krai region has risen to 78 from 67 with the discovery of more bodies, police said Saturday.

Sixty-seven bodies were found in the region's Krymsk district, while nine others died in the Black Sea resort town of Gelendzhik and two in the port of Novorossiisk over the past two days, regional police spokesman Igor Zhelyabin told AFP. - Sapa-AFP
