Police official Noor Khan says the death toll from Sunday's bombing in the north-western city of Peshawar rose overnight to 81, after three more of the wounded died.

A pair of suicide bombers blew themselves up amid hundreds of worshippers.

A wing of the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing and said they would continue to target non-Muslims until the US stops drone attacks in the remote tribal region.

Angry Christians blocked roads around the country on Monday to protest the bombings.

Christians are a minority in Pakistan and have often been attacked by militants.
