Buenos Aires -

Argentine police say they had to summon firefighters and doctors to extract a 250kg suspect from his house after a drug raid.

Security Secretary Sergio Berni says police believe the man leads a gang of drug traffickers from the house in Buenos Aires.

Berni says the man suffers from medical and mobility problems and was unable to descend from the second floor of the house.

So officers called in firefighters and medical personnel to help.

He was finally removed after 90 minutes on Thursday and police took him to a hospital in an ambulance under guard. - Sapa-AP
