Foreign ministry monkeys infiltrate Defence

New Delhi - India's defence chiefs are not amused - their New Delhi headquarters have been overrun by a battalion of aggressive monkeys that has taken to launching attacks on foreign diplomats and dignitaries.

Even more embarrassing for the top brass is that the rhesus monkeys were driven into their camp in a textbook operation by the neighbouring foreign ministry.

This ministry employed a fearsome warrior monkey known as "Mangal Singh" who, for a fat fee and extra rations, singlehandedly forced the pests to take up asylum next door.

Foreign Ministry officials are delighted to be free of the pests, which have on occasion infiltrated the buildings and even stolen official documents.

However, Defence Ministry officials are decidedly less happy. - Sapa-AFP
