Banja Luka, Bosnia-Herzegovina - Bosnian police say they found two Dutch siblings who were kidnapped last October in The Netherlands by their former foster parents who had lost custody over them. The Dutch couple allegedly brought the children to Bosnia and hid them in the attic of a weekend house near the northwest town of Banja Luka.

Police spokeswoman Mirna Soja said Wednesday the Dutch couple was detained following an international warrant issued by The Netherlands and that the brother and sister are well and safe.

Dutch Embassy press officer Amira Beganovic-Selmanovic said the siblings will be returned to The Netherlands. She also said that one of the kidnappers also had Bosnian citizenship. - Sapa-AP
