Floods and landslides at the weekend caused 32 deaths in Vietnam with three still missing, authorities said on Monday.

Flooding triggered by heavy rain killed 15 people in the central provinces, the Central Steering Committee for Storm and Flood Control said.

Two people were missing in Nghe An province, according to local authorities.

More than 180 houses were destroyed and nearly 10 000 flooded. About 35 000 hectares of rice fields and nearly 15 000 of other crops were submerged. - Sapa-dpa
