London -

British Prime Minister David Cameron insists there is no evidence a Cabinet minister broke rules in his dealings with Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.

Cameron answered questions in the House of Commons on Monday amid concern about contacts between Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt's office and Murdoch's staff.

Hunt was responsible for deciding whether to authorize Murdoch's attempt to take full control of British Sky Broadcasting, in which it holds a 39 percent stake.

Britain's judge-led inquiry into media ethics last week disclosed 163 emails sent by a News Corp. lobbyist in which he claimed Hunt's office leaked sensitive information and supported the takeover.

Cameron insisted Hunt was not at fault, and declined calls to order a separate inquiry. - Sapa-AP
