Muslims across the world are celebrating Eid al-Fitr marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadaan during which followers are required to abstain from food, drink and sex from dawn to dusk.
New York's Empire State Building was lit in green late on Friday to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday that marks the end of Ramadaan.
