London - Seaworld is to scrap its controversial killer whale shows at one of its parks due to mounting protests.

The US firm has been hosting the displays featuring the animals performing stunts since the early 1960s.

But from 2017, orca shows at its park in San Diego, California, will focus on the whales’ natural setting and behaviours instead of tricks.

However, the stunt shows will continue at the other two SeaWorld parks in San Antonio, Texas, and Orlando, Florida.
