Geneva - Civil servants in famously-tidy Switzerland have been ordered to clean their offices and sort their rubbish themselves, officials said Tuesday.
Authorities in the canton of Geneva - the equivalent of a US state - told AFP that the move was part of a cost-saving drive.
Swiss news agency ATS reported that the measure already affected 800 staff and was set to be expanded.
Civil servants are provided with cleaning materials, officials said, and the self-tidy campaign only affects administrative offices, not schools or medical services. - Sapa-AFP
