Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip watch the proceedings from the royal barge during the Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the River Thames in London.
David Cameron on Sunday dismissed any suggestion that Queen Elizabeth II might slow down or abdicate following the Jubilee.
He rejected the idea that the milestone might be used as an opportunity for the queen to step back from some of her public duties, or that the crown might skip a generation and go straight to Prince William.
The prime minister said: “Both of those things are out of the question. You get the sense with her that she will go on doing the amazing job she’s been doing for this country as long as she possibly can.”
In an interview with the BBC’s Andrew Marr, he also spoke of the support she gives him at their weekly meetings, praising her “huge experience” and common sense. - Daily Mail
