once again Russell Travers gives a pretty good commentary, well done! taliban and al queda (sic) have done horrific things to the journalists caught - beheading, defiling and dumping their bodies in the street. they have done even worse things to soldiers they've captured! those soldiers are showing ultimate disdain for those they've killed. it is war and it happens, get over the indignation!

What do you expect. I thought they are at war. Does it matter how you kill your enemy, just get the job done. If you are fighting and angry, you lose control & when you lose control, your opponet will gain an upper hand. If the accused did what they did to mentally stress their enemy & help them win the war, who cares? just win your war.. They are soilders & they hard a job to do & they did it best way known to them. Am very supprised that people are worried about the messager and the not the person that send the messager. Was it or is it a justified war? who authorised the war? Whatever your thoughts about the Taliban may be, there is a respect for human life and dignity which (if this video is true) shows none. By claiming superiority to one's enemy one behaves I would think in a more civilised fashion. This is NOT it. War is brutalising, but there is nothing good about demeaning behaviour such as this (if it is true)

People are going to compare this to their values but we must remember that the taliban has killed people these guys know , and this is more revenge than anything , i can only imagine the mental strain these people must go through

Considering what Taliban suicide bombers have done its mild and understandable. Probably had comrades killed by the same people.

What is more disgusting, the killing of these men or their killers defiling of their bodies? This is war. This is the way it is with insult, injury, death and destruction. Certainly, a short while before this video was taken the men on the ground were trying to kill those standing. Had it been the other way around who knows what special mutilation of the Americans corpses the Taliban would have chosen for their defilement. The iretractability and ultimate futility of these events should be a warning to groups in SA whose respect and tolerance for each other is at such a low ebb due to failures of leadership. The dead know nothing of insults, just the living feel either powerfull or disgusted, victory or defeat - this is the way it is.
