■ The Tygerberg Hospital Nursing Choir had guests in tears with its performance, on Thursday May 18, to celebrate International Nurses Day, which is recognised annually on May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. Some of the hospital’s longest-serving nurses received certificates.
