The message was about having a plan for the future. School children attended a Youth Day event run by the Goodwood day hospital at the library, last Thursday. Grade 8 JG Meiring High School pupil Ornela Meri took part in the programme, along with pupils from several other schools, including Koos Sadie Primary, Oude Molen Technical High School and Goodwood Park Primary. Blandine Nsenda holds her drawing on her head. Goodwood policeman Captain Waynne Theunis warned that drugs killed and stopped people from reaching their full potential. Naomi Mingo, the hospitals health promotions officer, organised the event. The children enjoyed soup and hot dogs afterwards.
