■ Andrey Baranov, the winner of the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition in 2012, returns to the Cape Town Concert Series, on Saturday March 25, at the Baxter Concert Hall, at 8pm. He will be accompanied by his sister, Maria Baranova, on piano. They will play a wide-ranging programme from Tartini to Tchaikovsky, Chausson to Paganini and Ysaye.
