JG Meiring drummies drop the beat

JG Meiring High Schools Majorettes.

Seven majorette and seven cheerleading squads took part in the Western Province Majorettes and Cheerleading Association’s (WPMCA) first competition for the season, at JG Meiring High School, on Saturday February 25. Five of the squads were new to the association.

JG Meiring High Majorettes, led by Chantal Lombard, hosted the event, and participants included: Leiden Avenue Primary, Brackenfell Junior Club, Dr Van der Ross Primary, Groote Schuur Primary, Curro Primary, Helderkruin Primary, Avondale Primary, Melkbos High School, Fairmont High, Avondale Seniors, Groote Schuur Majorettes, Hottentots-Holland High School, Eerste River South, Brackenfell High, Maties Cheerleading, Cheer Star Vipers, Fish Hoek Breakers, Wildcats, Fish Hoek Dynamix, Stellenbosch High, Fish Hoek Dynamix Elite and Avondale Tertiary.
