Passion Play Ministries International is holding auditions for He’s Alive, a dramatic presentation of the events surrounding the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which will be staged in April.
The auditions take place on Monday January 23, at 7.30pm, for speaking parts, and Saturday January 28, at 2.30pm, for singers, at Milnerton Presbyterian Church, on the corner of Glanville and Tygerhof roads, Milnerton.
There are 34 speaking roles, which include: Jesus, the disciples, Pilate, high priests Caiaphas and Annas, the Sanhedrin, temple guards and merchants, Roman soldiers, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Salome the mother of James and John, and Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist. They also need men and women to make up the crowd of 80 folk as part of the play, as well as backstage crew.
Rehearsals will take place on Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons from January. Passion Play Ministries International is a non-profit organisation, and there will be no remuneration for being part of the production.
