The Divas Unite concert at the Grand Arena, GrandWest, on Women’s Day, Tuesday August 9, raised funds for the Saartjie Baartman Centre and Project Flamingo. Cheques for R25 000 each have been presented to the organisations. The Saartjie Baartman Centre in Manenberg offers support to victims of crime with emphasis on abused women and children. Project Flamingo works to extend healthcare services to facilitate detection and treatment of cancer.
