Hawks captain granted bail

A HAWKS police captain accused of conspiracy, corruption and other offences was granted R5 000 bail by the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Captain Patrick Yizaya Siyali, 51, of Khayelitsha, made his second appearance since his arrest on June 26 before magistrate Zwelidumile Sogwagwa.

The magistrate warned Siyali he was not allowed to have any contact with the complainants. The case was postponed to August 14. – Sapa
