London - A TV with a screen more than 8ft across has gone on sale – for an equally enormous £100 000 (about R1.7-million).
Samsung’s 110-inch (about 279cm) ultra HD set – which offers an experience that has been likened to “looking through a window” – is said to provide the very latest in viewing technology.
Its screen contains four times more pixels than an ordinary HD TV, making the images far more detailed.
The set is available in South Korea and is expected to hit the shops in Europe in the spring. Consumer electronics guru Barry Fox said: “The pictures are mind-blowing.” - Daily Mail
