Johannesburg - Ster Kinekor Entertainment has announced the South African release date for the eagerly-awaited PES 2013 will be as close to international release date as logistics will allow for.

Fans of the PES series can pick up the game on PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC in South Africa on September 12, 2012.

Hailed as a massive advance for the football genre, PES 2013 introduces ‘PES Full Control’, a new feature an unrivalled level of control, with players given fully manual control over every pass and shot. The game’s new Pro Active AI ensures players move and react as they would in real life, while the new Player ID system means that the world’s greatest players are instantly recognisable by how they look, move and play.

As part of the highly anticipated launch of PES 2013, Ster Kinekor Entertainment is offering the South African consumer a number of great pre-order offers from select online retailers, BT Games,, CNA, and Take A Lot to mention but a few.

PES 2013 contains a total of 150 licensed teams, including all of the teams from Brazil, Italy and Spain, as well as England, Germany, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Release dates for the planned PSP, PlayStation2, Nintendo 3DS and Wii versions will be announced shortly.
