London - Users of a particular brand of Dell laptop have complained that their machines “smell of cat urine”.
Engineers at Dell have said the problem with some Latitude 6430u Ultrabooks is due to a manufacturing issue and is not a health hazard. The company is asking owners to return their laptops for replacement parts to be fitted.
The problem was first reported in June. “A few weeks ago I got a new Latitude 6430u for work,” one user called Three West said on Dell's hardware support forum, according to the BBC.
“The machine is great, but it smells as if it was assembled near a tomcat's litter box. It is truly awful.” - The Independent
