Prankster defends Edward Scissorhands

A prankster who was booked by a TV station to talk about Edward Snowden instead spent most of the segment referring to Edward Scissorhands without the anchor appearing to notice. Jon Hendren, who also has the Twitter handle @fart, was talking to US channel HLN about Snowden’s decision to join Twitter. Hendren took the opportunity to rather speak about the character played by Johnny Depp character in Tim Burton’s 1990 film. At one point, in aswer to a question about Twitter possibly shutting down his account, Hendren said: “But to cast him out, to make him invalid in society simply because he has scissors for hands, I mean, that’s strange. People didn’t get scared until he started sculpting shrubs into dinosaur shapes and whatnot.”
