Johannesburg - Nokia has launched an online competition called Project Come Closer, in which South Africans are asked to share their favourite photo memories.
They stand to have these memories recreated by Nokia, including a journey to find and reconnect with the people who are in the photo – in the place it was taken.
The winning photo memory will also have the entire journey filmed as a short documentary so that people everywhere can share in the experience.
The competition appears to be a promotion for Nokia’s new Lumia 1020 cellphone which takes photographs and videos of outstanding quality.
To stand a chance to have their memory recreated, people simply need to share a loved old photo with Nokia, and the company will do the rest.
