Apple has won a legal battle in Germany to protect its rights to the slide-to-unlock device it uses on iPhones.
London - Apple has won a legal battle in Germany to protect its rights to the slide-to-unlock device it uses on iPhones.
A similar device in which access to the phone is enabled by dragging a finger across the screen had been introduced by Motorola Mobility.
Motorola said after the hearing that it may appeal but that the ruling would have little impact on sales.
“Today's ruling ... concerns a software feature related to phone unlocking in select Motorola devices sold in Germany,” a spokeswoman said. “Motorola has implemented a new design for the feature. - The Independent
