London - The Hollywood actress Winona Ryder is among a fourth group of celebrities whose nude photographs have been hacked from the iCloud and leaked online.

Other less high-profile names among those who pictures were leaked on Sunday include the first male victim, Nick Hogan – son of the US wrestler Hulk Hogan – 90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord, and Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton.

Miss Ryder, 42, is best known for her roles in Black Swan, The Age of Innocence and Girl, Interrupted.

The latest leak comes four days after a lawyer for more than a dozen targeted celebrities issued Google with a threat to sue for £60-million for “failing to act” and ‘making millions and profiting from the victimisation of women’.

The scandal emerged in August when Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence, Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay and Spider-Man actress Kirsten Dunst were among the first known victims.

Nude and other intimate photos were posted online after being stolen from their iCloud accounts, where they had been stored automatically from their iPhones.

The latest release of hacked photographs will come as a blow to Apple as it desperately tries to tighten security on the iCloud, which allows users to attempt access to any account an unlimited amount of times. Other victims targeted yesterday include the singer Ingrid Michaelson and actress Zoe Kazan, who appears in 43 of the images uploaded to photo-sharing blog 4Chan.

And at least 147 personal, fully-clothed images of The Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev have also emerged, according to the Daily Beast website. Many believe the controversy may be coming to a close given the lower profile of the hacker’s latest victims. The first wave of explicit personal images were released on August 31.

Since then, images have surfaced of singers Rihanna and Avril Lavigne, TV actress Kaley Cuoco, and socialities Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

Last week it emerged that British model Cara Delevingne has been caught up in the leak. The images have been cached by thousands of users all over the world and shared on other blogs and websites, meaning many still appear on Google Images.

Apple denied that its iCloud system was compromised during the initial hacking, which it said was the result of “a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions”. - Daily Mail
