YOKOHAMA, Japan – Panama's Celestino Caballero secured a unanimous decision victory over Satoshi Hosono of Japan to defend the World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight title on Saturday.
Three judges counted it 116-111, 119-108, 119-108 in favour of the defending champion.
It was the 35-year-old's second defence of the title, improving his record to 36 wins, including 23 KOs against only four defeats.
Hosono, 28 and ranked eighth in the WBA, now has 21 wins, including 15 KOs, against two defeats. – Sapa-AFP
