Johannesburg - Dolphins' coach Lance Klusener is hoping his team will have a turnaround in their One-Day Cup fortunes when they take on the Knights in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.

“We're looking forward to playing tomorrow and hope we can get a positive result,” Klusener said on Tuesday.

“We might try a different game plan but we'll look at the wicket when we get there and then make a final decision.”

The Dolphins, who seemed to attract bad weather, were languishing at the bottom of the log after losing both of their completed matches, and had one game rained off completely.

“We're not using the weather as an excuse as we're well-prepared for the match,” Klusener said.

“We just need to maintain our discipline and follow our own game plan.”

They have included Divan Van Wyk and Calvin Savage in their squad to replace Jonathan Vandiar, who has an injury, and Mthokozisi Shezi.

The Knights, looking to bounce back from an 81-run loss to the Titans on the weekend, were without skipper Morne van Wyk who was still recovering from a shoulder injury.

“We'd like to get some consistency going, but the Dolphins won't be an easy side to beat,” Van Wyk said.

“They've got a couple of really explosive players, especially in the middle-order, and Daryn Smit looks like he has given himself the task of batting through the innings by promoting himself to No. 3.”

The Knights also seemed to attract bad weather and hoped for more time in the middle.

“We haven't had a great start and the hasn't helped in terms of getting into a rhythm,” Van Wyk said.

“But then again you could say that we are nice and fresh for this part of the season so we have no excuses.” - Sapa
