Klusener sacked as Dolphins coach

Johannesburg - Lance Klusener has been fired as coach of the Dolphins cricket team as his contract was not renewed on Monday. According to ESPNcricinfo Klusener was given “no reason” for the dismissal and he found the decision “very strange”.

Klusener was at the helm of the Durban franchise since January 2012 when he started out as interim coach of his former team. An aggressive allrounder Klusener, 44, played 171 One Day Internationals and 49 Tests for South Africa from 1996 to 2004.

On the Dolphins’ website, it says Yashin Ebrahim and Roger Telemachus will takeover as koint head coaches for the remainder of the Sunfoil Series.- African News Agency (ANA)
