Johannesburg – The One-day Cup match between the Knights and the Cape Cobras was abandoned without a ball bowled due to persistent rain in Bloemfontein on Sunday.

The Knights, who were handed their second no-result in three game, were left second from bottom in the standings, needing to collect maximum points in their fixture against the Highveld Lions in Kimberley on Wednesday to have any chance of reaching the playoffs.

The Cobras, lying second in the table, were already guaranteed a place in the playoffs, with one fixture left against the Titans in Paarl ahead of the knockout stages. – Sapa
