The KFC Mini-Cricket Kids from Eden College took on the Sunfoil Dolphins in a curtain raiser to the Ram Slam T20 game between the Sunfoil Dolphins and the Unlimited Titans.
The concept was an initiative from KFC to introduce kids at primary school level to cricket.
The KFC Mini-Cricket Kids posted 62 runs in this 8 overs and the Sunfoil Dolphins only managed 61 runs batting second. The KFC Mini-Cricket kids won by 1 run.
The highlight for the KFC Mini-Cricket kids was their man of the match Shivam Iyer who took 2 for 6 in his over including a wicket off the first ball of the innings where he yorked Jo Anne Van de Veen.
This match was a warm up game prior to the KFC Mini-Cricket Kids vs Proteas tour. The Kids form Eden College will get active against the Proteas on the 14th January at Sahara Kingsmead stadium.
