Indian skipper Virat Kohli became the first batsman in Test history to score a double century in four consecutive series on Friday after he smashed 204 against Bangladesh.
The 28-year-old skipper went past legends including Australia's Donald Bradman and his compatriot Rahul Dravid, who both compiled double tons in three consecutive series.
Kohli had also scored double centuries in his three most recent series against West Indies, New Zealand and England before reaching the 200-run mark in the ongoing one-off Test in Hyderabad.
Kohli, who shared a 222-run fourth-wicket stand with Ajinkya Rahane, hit 24 boundaries during his 246-ball knock against a hapless Bangladesh attack.
During his innings, Kohli also also registered the most Test runs in a home season, breaking Virender Sehwag's previous record of 1,105 in 17 innings.
Kohli was finally trapped lbw off Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam and walked off to a standing ovation from a raucous home crowd.
