Hashim Amla, along with Proteas team-mate Vernon Philander have been nominated for the ICC Cricketer of the Year, and Test Cricketer of the Year awards.

Proteas players Hashim Amla and Vernon Philander have been nominated for the ICC Cricketer of the Year, and Test Cricketer of the Year awards, Cricket SA (CSA) said on Monday.

The pair will compete for both awards, after 12 months of continued excellence on the field for the national team.

Also nominated for Test Cricketer of the Year were Dale Steyn, Jacques Kallis, and AB de Villiers.

The Proteas' strong presence in the longest format of the game comes after a successful year which has them on the verge of Test supremacy. A series win in England will give them the number one ranking.

De Villiers and Kallis are also up for the Spirit of Cricket Award, along with Pakistan's Mohammed Hafeez, West Indies' Kieron Pollard and New Zealand's Daniel Vettori.

Richard Levi's entry onto the International T20 stage has earned him a place on the ICC T20 Performance of the Year list.

Levi's blistering world-record knock of 117 not out against New Zealand included 13 sixes, the most in a T20 innings.

The complete SA nomination list:
