South Africa have made one change to their team that beat New Zealand in their last World T20 match. Morne Morkel has been discarded after his poor showing and young Beuran Hendricks has been drafted in to play his first game of the tournament.

The 23-year-old has played just two previous T20 internationals, but earns his place on the back of a sensational domestic RamSlam T20 campaign. The Cape Cobras spearhead claimed a record 28 wickets to help his team to the final.

Hendricks will have to wait for his opportunity after Netherlands captain Peter Borren won the toss and inserted the Proteas. Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock will get South Africa’s innings underway.

Wayne Parnell was not considered for selection as he is in India appearing in a Mumbai court on drug-related charges. Parnell will be back in Chittagong on Friday.

Quinton de Kock (wk), Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis (capt), AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, David Miller, Albie Morkel, Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Beuran Hendricks.
