New Delhi – South Africa began their quest to draw the fourth Test match against India as they blocked their way to 40/1 from 39 overs at tea on day four in New Delhi on Sunday.

After losing their first wicket in a five over period before lunch, Hashim Amla and Temba Bavuma came out in determined fashion as they kept out the Indian bowlers with the victory target of 481 clearly out of reach.

Earlier in the day, Ajinkya Rahane scored his second century of the match as India declared on 267/5 in their second innings.
