The Proteas take on New Zealand at Kingsmead in the first of two T20 Internationals.

The last time these two teams met was at this year’s Cricket World Cup, where the New Zealanders, with the help of South African-born Grant Elliott beat AB De Villiers and his men. Who can forgot those tears?

The New Zealanders will be without their inspirational captain, Brendon McCullum, who is being rested for this tour. Ross Taylor is also unavailble, after picking up an injury during their recent tour of Zimbabwe.

The Proteas welcome back AB De Villiers after the birth of his first child.
