Durban – The scheduled 9.30am start on Friday of the second Test between South Africa and India was delayed because of rain in Durban.

Play was due to start 30 minutes earlier on Friday after the first day ended prematurely when bad light took the players off just after tea on Thursday.

The covers were still on the pitch and intermittent showers kept passing over the ground.

India were on 181 for one overnight, after the first of the two Tests between the sides had ended in a draw. – Sapa
