Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and elected to bat in the second and final Test against South Africa at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.

The first Test was ended in a draw after rain washed out the last two days in Chittagong.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dane Vilas is making his debut for South Africa, replacing Quinton de Kock.

The 30-year-old becomes the sixth new cap in the last 18 months as the Proteas continue their transition to a new-look Test squad.

Bangladesh brought back Nasir Hossain in place of left-arm spinner Taijul Islam.
