The Proteas were dismissed for a paltry 96 by Australia on the second day of the first Test at Newlands.
Shane Watson took 5/17 to see the Proteas back in the change rooms just 11.3 overs after lunch on day two of the opening Test against Australia at Newlands on Thursday.
After bowling Australia out for 284, and going into the lunch break at 49/1, the hosts collapsed to 96 all out.
Watson saw to the departure of both Hashim Amla, lbw for three, and Jacques Kallis, who was caught by Ricky Ponting for a duck, while the score remained on 49.
Captain Graeme Smith (37) seemed to be steadying the ship with AB de Villiers and the pair added 24 runs before the skipper was bowled by Watson.
Ashwell Prince was dismissed off the next ball, lbw to Watson, and Boucher fell the same way, giving Watson his third career five-wicket haul.
Ryan Harris also played his part, bagging 4/33. – Sapa
