Dhaka – Bangladesh, trailing Sri Lanka by 498 runs on the first innings, were 35/1 in their second knock at stumps on the third day of the first Test in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Tamim Iqbal was dismissed by Rangana Herath for 11. Shamsur Rahman (nine) and Marshall Ayub (11) were at the crease at close.

Earlier, Mahela Jayawardene remained unbeaten on 203, his seventh Test double-century, as Sri Lanka piled up 730/6 before declaring towards the close of the day's play.

Kithuruwan Vithanage made 103 not out, his maiden hundred in only his third Test.
