SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates – Pakistan fast bowlers Bilawal Bhatti and Mohammad Irfan are heading home to recover from injuries.

Bhatti strained his hamstring while bowling during the second test at Dubai last week and failed to heal in time for the third test which started on Thursday at Sharjah.

Manager Moin Khan said Bhatti needed at least a week's rest before he could compete in domestic first-class matches.

Irfan had been undergoing rehabilitation with the test team in the UAE. He broke his hip when he fell over in his follow through during a Twenty20 international against South Africa in November, and hopes to be fit for next the Asia Cup next month in Bangladesh. – Sapa-AP
