Johannesburg - South African Branden Grace has moved up to 11th in the World Rankings following his win in the US PGA tour's RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, South Carolina on Sunday.

The 27-year-old moves up the rankings three spots from 14th which were released on Monday. Grace, a seven-time European Tour winner, last tasted victory at the Qatar Masters in Doha Golf Club in January where he defended his title.

That performance moved him up to a career-high 10th in the World Rankings, but he has since struggled most notably missing the cut at the Masters. Notching up his first victory on US soil on Sunday, however, propels Grace back up the rankings - one spot ahead of countryman Louis Oosthuizen - to again lay claim to the title of number one ranked South African in the world.

Further down the rankings, Charl Schwartzel maintains his 20th spot in the rankings.

Three more South Africans occupy places in the top 100 in the World Rankings with Jaco van Zyl 59th, George Coetzee 81st and Dean Burmester 94th. - African News Agency (ANA)
