PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – Martin Kaymer of Germany and Nicolas Colsaerts of Belgium are part of the latest group of European golfers to join the USPGA Tour.
Kaymer has been eligible to become a US Tour member since he won the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits two years ago.
Three other international players Ä Peter Hanson of Sweden, Ryo Ishikawa of Japan and David Lynn of England Ä will become members next year. Lynn was the runner-up at this year's PGA Championship.
Kaymer rolled in the clinching putt for Europe in the 2012 Ryder Cup in Chicago. He will be considered a PGA Tour rookie, even though his 10 career wins include a major and World Golf Championship.
The additions means 28 of the top 30 players in the world ranking will be USPGA Tour members. – Sapa-AFP
