Johannesburg – Play was suspended during the second round of the South African Open at Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate on Friday.

Officials were forced to suspend play due to dangerous weather conditions, including lightning in the area.

At the time of the suspension, Swede Henrik Stenson, on 13 under par, held a four shot lead over Merrick Bremner and Magnus Carlsson.

Stenson and Carlsson had completed their second round, while Bremner was still out on the course.

The tournament is a co-sanctioned European and Sunshine tour event. – Sapa
