Paris – Patrick Reed's victory in the WGC-Cadillac Championship in Miami on Sunday has hoisted the 23-year-old American into the world top 20 for the first time.

Reed's third PGA Tour win inside seven months has seen him move up to 20th place in a top 20 dominated by American players - 12 in total.

Tiger Woods retained the number one status despite a poor finish in Miami where he failed to register a single birdie in his round of 78.

Woods finished in a tie for 25th, level with his closest challenger in the world rankings Adam Scott of Australia.
