Los Angeles 2024 Olympic bid chiefs rolled out an array of stars from Hollywood, the sports world and big business in a private dinner for International Olympic Committee delegates visiting the city, officials confirmed Thursday.

Action star Sylvester Stallone, basketball legend Kobe Bryant and opera singer Placido Domingo were just three of the names who attended Wednesday's dinner for members of the IOC Evaluation Commission, officials confirmed to AFP.

The dinner, held at the Beverly Hills mansion of Los Angeles 2024 chairman Casey Wasserman, was also attended by billionaire titans from the tech and media world.

Former Microsoft chief executive and now Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer was in attendance along with Jeanie Buss, the co-owner of the Los Angeles Lakers and James Murdoch, the chief executive of 21st Century Fox.

Disney chairman and chief executive Bob Iger also attended, along with Snapchat chief executive Evan Spiegel and NBC Universal chief Jeff Shell.

Los Angeles-based Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel was also in attendance.

The dinner came at the end of the first full day of the IOC Evaluation Commission's three-day visit to Los Angeles.

The Evaluation Commission is visiting Los Angeles to assess the city's bid before moving on to rival Paris next week.

The IOC will choose the hosts for the 2024 Olympics at a meeting in Lima in September.
