Pietie a doubt for qualifier

Less than six hours before the South African women’s hockey team’s Olympic Qualifier match against India on Wednesday, striker Pietie Coetzee was a doubtful starter due a viral infection.

In the latest development, coach Giles Bonnet said Coetzee would not be risked, if a pending medical update confirmed Coetzee was not fit to play.

The match will be televised live at 2.30pm on SuperSport 6. – Sapa
